What you’ll be doing:

• Create high quality characters and creatures (Sculpt, Model, UV, texture and create material)
• Create assets such as hair, accessories, weapons, armor, etc. respecting the respecting the artistic direction
• Produce clean and optimal high and low polygone models and UV layouts following the project’s guidelines
• Collaborate closely with the Art Director, leads and the different departments to ensure the level reaches narrative and artistic goals
• Commit to deadlines and milestones
• Share your knowledge and best practices with the rest of the team
• Efficiently report artistic production status update to the lead
• Keep up to date on technological breakthroughs and tools to create better contents
• Support the growth of the artistic team by sharing and teaching best practices
• Create documents when needed
• Any other related tasks

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a character artist
• Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent training or experience
• Excellent visual and technical understanding of 3D modeling and texturing of characters and creatures
• Knowledge of Unreal engine, 3D softwares such as 3DS Max, Maya, Substance and Photoshop
• Knowledge of the different game genres and up to date with the current video game market
• Positive attitude and team player
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and come up with creative solutions
• Detail oriented and flexible mindset
• Ability to be receptive to art direction and positive critiques from the lead
• Passion for games!

Bonus points

• Team player who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
• Japanese language written and/or spoken.
