What you’ll be doing:
• Conceptualize, pitch, and develop original game systems (design rules, objects, vehicles, weapons, progression, etc.)
• Help define the user experience by cooperating with the game director to design features that support the game’s vision
• Communicate your designs clearly and concisely, through documentation and meetings with the team
• Keep your design documents up to date
• Develop quick and dirty gameplay prototypes
• Design and balance the player’s progression and game economies with spreadsheets.
• Manage and maintain data assets within the engine.
• Test, review and follow up on the implementation of your systems to ensure corrections are applied
• Prepare playtests, analyze their results, and update your designs accordingly
• Share your knowledge and best practices with the rest of the team
• Keep up to date with industry standards and the game market for our projects
• Be proactive and participate in the realization of the design team’s objectives
• Carry out all other related tasks

What we’re looking for:
• Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• College diploma in game design or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to identify, break down and define game mechanics
• Strong understanding of progression systems and game economies
• Strong proficiency in mathematics and spreadsheets tools
• Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
• Analytical skills and critical thinking-oriented creativity
• Excellent ability to organize and structure your work
• Expertise in the Unreal Engine and its Blueprint tools
• Good understanding of programming logic
• Great attention to details
• Ability to give and receive feedback with humility and tact
• Adaptability to changes and iterations
• Vast library of game experiences
• Passion for game development and dark sci-fi themes
• Ability to learn new tools quickly
• Ability to meet deadlines
